Tools for the Great Turning
Join us for an in-depth experience of Joanna Macy's Work that Reconnects in Boulder, Colorado!
Find yourself scrolling through headlines and feeling numb? Longing to connect feelings of grief and anger to your love and passion for justice? Curious about systems theory? Seeking beloved community?
The Work that Reconnects was developed by Buddhist scholar and eco-philosopher Joanna Macy as a response to the growing despair among changemakers that she witnessed around her. Her group methods have been adopted and adapted yet more widely in classrooms, churches, and grassroots organizing. Her work helps people transform despair and apathy, in the face of overwhelming social and ecological crises, into constructive, collaborative action. It brings a new way of seeing the world, as our larger living body, freeing us from the assumptions and attitudes that now threaten the continuity of life on Earth.
Join us on Saturday, March 23rd at Picklebric for a full-day experience of singing, movement, group work, and dialogue.
Sessions will last from 10-1 pm and from 2-5 pm with a one-hour break for lunch. Please plan to bring a potluck lunch contribution so we can break bread together!
