Reconnect 2020 : Personal Tools for Planetary Crisis 1 Day Work That Reconnects Immersion w/Lydia Violet Harmonia Wellness Center, Sausalito

About this Event Reconnect 2020 : Personal Tools for Planetary Crisis 1 Day Work That Reconnects Immersion with Lydia Violet Harmonia Wellness Center 2200 Marinship Way, Sausalito, CA As each day we face the news of climate chaos, political warfare, species extinction, and ecological and social suffering, we are asked to reconcile these collective traumas with all that is breaking in our hearts. It is natural in our time to feel despair, overwhelm, and grief. As we usher in 2020, we have the power to warrior up and learn tools for transforming our grief, anger, paralysis, and fear into compassionate connection with our world and communities, knowing our place in the web of life, and motivation to act on behalf of life on earth. Climate anxiety and ecological despair our real, they are on behalf of a world desperate for our collaboration in remembering our dignity and grace. It is here that we nourish our compass for the times ahead. Join us at Harmonia for this nourishing and powerful immersion into the Work That Reconnects to gain new tools in navigating the current crisis - on a personal and planetary level. Building off 10 years of in-depth study with wisdom keeper Joanna Macy, Lydia Violet Harutoonian will lead us through an intimate experience with the Work That Reconnects (WTR), a dynamic, interactive body of work developed by Macy, a scholar and respected elder in systems theory, deep ecology, and Buddhism as well as 50+ years of international activism. Together we'll learn tools, meditations, and concepts that we can rest into and organize with, in our desires to be effective allies to both planet and people. "I have seen repeatedly how Lydia’s visionary facilitation of the Work The Reconnects (WTR), has released cultural creativity in vital response to the cultures of fear and ignorance spreading in our land. Here participants find honesty and strength, as well as spirited community, for facing our current crises head on.” - Joanna Macy Sunday January 19th 2020 10am-4pm Tickets: Early Bird - $88 Full Price - $111 Scholarships available for low income individuals and POC/minorities - please email to apply
